Tampa Members Spotlight
Auston is 13 years old and lives in Bushnell, Florida. He is the son of Randy and Melissa Chisenhall and currently plays in the Dixie boy’s league and also plays for the Bushnell Bandits travel ball team. He is a switch hitter, plays first base, and also pitches.
Auston has been training at the Hitting Academy since May of 2015 and works with Coach Mike Abraham once a week. “Since Auston joined the Hitting Academy he is way more comfortable when he gets into the batter’s box,” says Auston’s dad Randy. “There has been an amazing difference in his mechanics! He has improved with making contact with the ball, and hitting more consistent line drives, and he is improving on placing the ball. We are grateful that we got hooked up with you guys down there at the Hitting Academy, and Mike has done an awesome job with Auston!”
Not only is Auston doing well on the diamond but he also does well in school making A’s and B’s. He is involved in the youth group at church, and when he is not playing baseball he enjoys bass fishing. His favorite verse is Phillippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ for it is he who strengthens me.”
We are proud to highlight Auston in this month’s THA Members Spotlight and we are glad he is a part of The Hitting Academy family. “I really enjoy working with Auston,” says Coach Mike. “He has so much heart and passion with the ability to learn and make his swing his own. To me, that’s more important than any talent in the world. He is a coaches’ dream. Hard working, passionate and always respectful.”
Congratulations to Auston Chisenhall on being chosen for this month’s THA Member’s Spotlight.
